You are correct. The emitting stops (i.e. the increment won't work to update the value), but the loop continues.

It's still not ideal to have viewModelScope running it, as it doesn't pause.

The illustration is just to provide a simplify manner to understand how collectAsComposeWithLifecycle and WhileSubscribed works.
