The Five Different Ways I Got My Promotions
Don’t get mad when your manager don’t promote you, you have much of the control
It’s disheartening to see when developers get upset over missed promotions. Their morale and work often suffer, and relationships with colleagues and managers can become strained.
Sometimes, managers may not them promote due to budget constraints or other reasons, but these negative reactions is not helping, instead further diminish future promotion prospects.
If you ever find yourself in this situation, it’s okay to feel disappointed. However, remember that there are multiple ways to achieve promotions, and you have more control than you might think.
Here are some strategies that have helped me secure promotions in the past, across two different careers. I hope these tips help you prepare and navigate similar challenges!
