Agree SOLID is not a word but an acronym. I think as the acronym match a real word, it does give people the perception that this is like the once followed, it is done (solid).

My writing is just to clarify that it is not “solid”.

With full respect for Robert Martin’s SOLID principles, they are great principles. Hence I state it is a goal for us to strive for. But as software changes, the code will still need to change and re-SOLID.
