Agreed. Use of library is our problem, and disk I/O gives various issue on the manufacturer that at times go beyond us. It would be great if Android provide us a way to ‘suppress’ part that we are aware and doesn’t want to care about.

By the way, are you aware of the issue where Strict Mode turned on in Application (as per guided in https://developer.android.com/reference/android/os/StrictMode.html) doesn’t take effect on things within the Activity?
